Still from home
This project will be published as a book in the course of 2024 with the support of Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles.
Still from home is situated in the domestic space, more precisely in the house where I grew up. As this place grew distant to my daily life, my attention has been drawn to the arrangement of everyday objects, the way they are moved around and interact with one another.
Inside outside back and forth garden bedroom floor ceiling table top kitchen grass edges window corridors and in the nooks and crannies.
Photography has altered the familiar, space is stretched and fantasized thus I relate to it differently : unsuspected configurations are nested in the miniature, objects seems to lead their own existence but they also have become some sort of species of company, as do the insects and animals that pass by. Details become most significant.
