Bio
Lola Pertsowsky is a Brussels-based artist from Île d’Oléron. She captures the dialogue between the living and the artificial, the human and the non-human, in both domestic and urban spaces. Through the prism of detail, her images tackles the idea that otherness is implicitly in the living as well as the inanimate. Her work has been shown in Belgium at Saloon, FoMu (.tiff Young belgian photography talents and Braakland), Centrale for Contemporary Art | Lab, Fred & Ferry Gallery, Brasserie Atlas, Gris as well as in the Netherlands at Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen.
In 2013 she graduated in fine arts at EBABX in Bordeaux and completed a MA in Photography at LUCA School of Arts Brussels in 2015.
Aside her artistic practice, she specialized in art documentation photography and collaborates with institutions such as La Loge, Wiels, Ikob, Etablissement d’en Face, The Venice Biennale Belgian Pavillion M Leuven, Fondation Boghossian-Villa Empain among others. She also teaches photography at Ecole Agnès Varda.
